USA

When one thinks about journey, America quickly comes to mind and especially the United States, where every travel experience is unforgettable, as it is a destination with countless options. There are many places that combine the natural beauty - mountains, beaches, forests, deserts, canyons, glaciers - with some of the most exciting cities in the world full of culture, music, arts, good food and hospitable locals.

You can not travel to the United States and not visit the picturesque San Francisco and the historic Golden Gate Bridge, the cosmopolitan Los Angeles and not to shop on 5th Avenue in New York after a photo stop in front of the famous Statue of Liberty. Do not forget to admire the exhibits of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and the Guggenheim Museum or make a stop at the White House in Washington.

Indulge to the sounds of jazz in New Orleans and try some of the tastiest dishes of American cuisine. If you prefer something more adventurous, you can "gamble" to any of the countless Las Vegas casinos or admire the wild beauty of the Grand Canyon after passing through the outlandish mountain ranges and deserts.

A trip to the US is a life experience, as this is a destination full of contrasts, options for all tastes and famous attractions you would like to capture in your photo album.

Grab your coat and a handful of glitter, and enter the land of fog and fabulousness. So long, inhibitions; hello, San Francisco. Natural Highs If California is one grand, sweeping gesture, a long arm cradling the Pacific, then San Francisco, that seven-by-seven-mile peninsula, is a forefinger pointing upwards. Take this as a hint to look up: you'll notice San Francisco's crooked Victorian rooflines, wind-sculpted treetops and fog tumbling over the Golden Gate Bridge. Heads are perpetually in the clouds atop San Francisco's 43 hills. Cable cars provide easy access to Russian and Nob Hills, and splendid panoramas reward the slog up to Coit Tower – but the most exhilarating highs are earned on Telegraph Hill's garden-lined stairway walks and windswept hikes around Land's End.
Miami, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the USA, is found on the south east tip of North America’s Sunshine State.
It's three in the morning when you spot an Elvis look-alike sauntering by arm-in-arm with a glittering showgirl. A bride in a long white dress shrieks 'blackjack!' as a stoic blue-haired granny feeds nickels into a slot machine while throwing back a gin and tonic. It's a surreal, Technicolor-tinged fantasy straight out of the movies – there's only one place you could be. Vegas, baby: it's the ultimate escape. It's the only place you can spend the night partying in ancient Rome, wake up in Paris and brunch under the Eiffel Tower, watch an erupting volcano at sunset and get married in a pink Cadillac at midnight. Double down with the high rollers, browse couture or tacky souvenirs, sip a neon 3ft-high margarita or a frozen vodka martini set on a bar made of ice – it's all here for the taking.
When people talk about holidays in Florida they are often talking about holidays in Orlando which happens to be America’s top holiday destination. Orlando offers world-famous theme parks, amazing thrills and non-stop entertainment.
Steely skycrapers, top chefs, rocking festivals – the Windy City will blow you away with its low-key cultured awesomeness Art & Architecture It's hard to know what to gawk at first. High-flying architecture is everywhere, from the stratospheric, glass-floored Willis Tower to Frank Gehry's swooping silver Pritzer Pavilion to Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass Robie House. Whimsical public art studs the streets. So you're walking along and wham, there's an abstract Picasso statue that's not only cool to look at, you're allowed to go right up and climb on it. For art museums, take your pick: impressionist masterpieces at the massive Art Institute, psychedelic paintings at the mid-sized Museum of Mexican Art or outsider drawings at the small Intuit gallery.
As a visitor in New Orleans, you can expect the locals to pull out all the stops to show you a good time. And it's way more than just a demonstration of Southern hospitality-- "laisser les bon temps rouler," or "let the good times roll" is the city's unofficial motto.
Seattle's petite downtown area and many attractions make it possible to pack a week’s experience into a weekend. Grab a latte and start at the world-famous Pike Place Market.
The list of things to do in Los Angeles is as long as the city is vast. If your time in town is limited, you could spend days in the museums alone and never even make your way to Hollywood. Expect to put in a few miles between hitting up Venice Beach and exploring a hip Eastside 'hood. But that's the great thing about this city: there are so many things to do and see
Looking for a classic California beach experience, with a boardwalk, beach volleyball, even a classic amusement park? You can find it at Mission Beach in San Diego.
Looking to relax in the sun? Palm Springs, with 354 days of sunshine per year, might be the place for you.
Make sure you bring cash to Washington, D.C. Not that it’s expensive (actually, many museums are free) or that no one accepts plastic (they do)—it’s just an awful lot of fun to hold up a $5 bill next to the actual Lincoln Memorial, or a $20 in front of the White House.
Boston's history recalls revolution and transformation, and still today it is among the country’s most forward-thinking and barrier-breaking cities. Read more: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/boston/introduction#ixzz41eAKY8mn Art & Architecture The arts have thrived in Boston ever since the 19th century, when this cultural capital was dubbed the Athens of America. Certainly, the intellectual elite enjoyed their fine paintings and classical music, but they were also dedicated to spreading the cultural wealth, establishing museums, libraries and symphony orchestras. Today the lucky residents of (and visitors to) Boston benefit from their largesse. These venerable institutions play an integral role on Boston's cultural stage, which has significantly expanded to include dynamic contemporary art and music scenes.
