Berlin is
one of our personal favorite cities to promote and discover. With its rich and
dramatic history and fascinating links to British history it is one of these
places which you feel you have already somehow been to before arriving. Berlin
never ceases to surprise and impress. Architecturally the place is a complete
hotch potch. Bombed to the ground in WW2 the city is no UNESCO heritage site
but the buildings which have survived are of course of great interest and
beauty. However it is the liberal attitude of the German government to let
designers run riot on spaces and buildings that truly gives modern day Berlin
its identity. Design hotels, water side clubs, restaurants underneath railway
arches and outdoor beech bars in summer are just a few examples of the
unconventional projects which make up this great city.
Berlin is
of course located in what was East Germany and as a result it has managed to
keep an extremely sensible grasp of its cost of living. For a cool forward
thinking city you will find sightseing, eating out and shopping is excellent
value for money giving this great city extra bonus points in our eyes! Berlin
nightlife is uncompromising and adds substance to the fact Berlin is one of the
coolest cities in Europe.
It is also
a city you can visit all year round. There is always something happening be it
